Forest School - Ages 13-17

Join us for Classroom in the Forest. Children will explore and interact with nature and expand their outdoor skills with a child-led approach to learning. Skills and activities may include basic tool use, fine and gross motor skills, fire building and outdoor cooking, shelter building, knot tying, arts and crafts, and more based on student interests and abilities. 

We will be outside in most weather and get wet and muddy. Please send a change of clothes with your student and dress appropriately. Appropriately may mean wearing old clothes, bringing or wearing rain/snow/water play gear, gloves or mittens as needed, and dressing in layers to accomodate changing temperatures. 

Programming is rain or shine. In cases of extreme weather (thunderstorms, extreme heat, wind speeds over 30 mph) we will move indoors, but we do plan on being outside in most weather (rain, snow, sun, etc).

Note: This is a monthly class, typically on the 3rd Monday of the month. Some months may be the 4th Monday, if there is a holiday or conflicting event on the 3rd Monday. Please check the schedule for exact dates.
