Are you a fan of raptors? Do Birds of Prey captivate your imagination? Ready for an exhilarating experience to dive deeper into their world?

Join the Allison Woods OLC Team for an unforgettable celebration of World Falconry Day!

Falconers from all across North Carolina are gathering to celebrate World Falconry Day! This global celebration marks the anniversary of falconry being recognized as a cultural heritage by UNESCO.

Join us at Allison Woods Outdoor Learning Center where falconers will share their knowledge of falconry, showcase their incredible birds, and engage with you personally about their passion for birds of prey, conservation, and the thrilling art of hunting with these majestic creatures.

Artists, photographers, outdoor enthusiasts, and children will have the amazing chance to see these magnificent birds up close!

Get ready to meet and chat with top officials, both past and present, from the North Carolina Falconers Guild and the North American Falconers Association, the largest falconry organization in the world. And yes, they'll have their stunning birds with them!

Get ready for an exciting day with several local community partners on-site, thrilling scheduled flight demonstrations, and a fun-filled kids' craft and activity area!

Best of all, this event is absolutely FREE to the public! But don't forget to bring some extra cash for our fascinating owl pellet dissection experience—only $5 per pellet!

Tips for an epic day:

• Don't forget your camera! You'll have plenty of chances to capture stunning photos.

• Pack water and snacks for you and your family to keep the energy high!

• Dress for the weather. The event is held outdoors on our grass runway so it can be chilly.

We can't wait to see you! While RSVPs aren't required, they will send you a handy reminder and help us make the event even better for you!
